With high-quality cameras now accessible to almost anyone and social media platforms flooded with amateur photographers offering services at dirt-cheap prices, standing out takes much more than simply owning a great camera.
2️⃣ The “Exposure” Trap: Too many clients expect photographers to work for “exposure” instead of paying a fair rate. Businesses often expect stunning photos for little or no compensation, and these rock-bottom prices often don’t even cover the cost of equipment.
3️⃣ AI & Automation: New technologies, like AI-driven image enhancement tools, generative fills, and automated product photography, are swiftly replacing traditional photography jobs. Some clients are opting for AI-generated visuals instead of hiring photographers, reducing the demand for human talent.
