When it comes to fashion, it’s about more than just the clothes—it’s the vision, the artistry, and the team that brings everything to life. Our recent Fashionista shoot was a true labor of love, and I’m excited to share every detail of the journey, from the months of planning to the final moments of capturing the perfect shot.
Set in the heart of Lindale, Texas, this shoot took place in some unexpected yet iconic locations—Whataburger, the local gas station, the Atelier and the charming streets of downtown Lindale. These locations gave us the perfect blend of small-town charm and a modern twist, creating the ultimate backdrop for a fashion story that was as bold as it was beautiful.
The Vision
The vision for the Fashionista shoot was to combine high fashion with unexpected locations, infusing the everyday with a touch of glamour, sophistication and some funky pops of color. From the moment I began conceptualizing the shoot with Kristal and Rebecca, I knew it would take months of preparation, collaboration, and a clear sense of direction to bring this idea to life. But the results were worth every second of effort.
The Wardrobe: A Designer’s Masterpiece
One of the standout elements of this shoot was the incredible wardrobe curated by our talented designer, Rebecca Rawlinson, owner and designer at Sparrow & Hue. She crafted pieces that were nothing short of extraordinary—innovative, bold, and daring. From luxurious textures to sleek silhouettes, each outfit was designed to make a statement. The wardrobe captured the essence of high fashion while seamlessly blending with the raw, urban backdrop of Lindale.
Each look told a unique story, from structured, tailored pieces to flowing, ethereal designs. It was fashion at its finest—timeless yet contemporary, edgy yet elegant. The designer's vision was evident in every garment, and it was an honor to work with such talent.
The Makeup: On Point, Always
When it comes to fashion shoots, makeup is essential—it’s the finishing touch that elevates every look and brings the vision into focus. Our amazing MUA (Makeup Artist), Meagan Brown & Kinya Finaly truly delivered. From the bold, smokey eyes to the flawless skin, each model’s makeup was on point, highlighting their natural beauty while enhancing the overall aesthetic.
The makeup was versatile, too—whether we were shooting at the gas station or in downtown Lindale, it complemented the fashion and setting perfectly. The MUA’s attention to detail and ability to adapt to every look made the models’ beauty shine in every frame.
The Models: The Heart of the Shoot
No shoot is complete without the incredible models who bring the clothes to life. Each model brought their unique energy, personality, and professionalism to the set, embodying the vision in ways I could never have imagined. They weren’t just wearing clothes; they were telling a story, expressing emotions, and bringing the entire concept to life.
Whether posing in front of the bright lights of Whataburger or standing tall on the vibrant streets of downtown Lindale, the models made every shot captivating. Their confidence, poise, and natural beauty are what truly brought the shoot together.
Thank you to all the amazing and talented models; Kristal Baith, Hannah Pitchett, Paige Wood, Carmel Kelly, Shannon Leigh, Carmen Nunn and Janie Smith
The Team: A Collaborative Effort
Of course, none of this would have been possible without the incredible team behind the scenes. From the designers to the stylists, the MUA, and the models, every person played a crucial role in making this shoot a success. There were months of planning, countless hours spent curating every detail, and endless coordination to ensure everything came together smoothly.
The creative direction, the styling, the makeup, the coordination—it all had to come together flawlessly, and thanks to this team’s unwavering dedication and passion, it did. This shoot was a true collaborative effort, and I’m so grateful to have worked with such a talented group of individuals.
The Journey: Months of Prep, 6 Months of Creation
The Fashionista in a Small Town shoot wasn’t just a one-day event—it was the culmination of months of preparation, creative brainstorming, and fine-tuning. The planning phase took time—deciding on the perfect wardrobe, scouting the best locations, and aligning schedules with every team member. Every detail had to be accounted for, from the smallest prop to the lighting setup.
Then came the editing process. After the shoot wrapped, I spent six months bringing everything together—editing the images, perfecting the shots, and refining each frame until it felt just right. It was a meticulous process, but the end result was worth every ounce of effort. The photos turned out exactly as I envisioned, and I couldn’t be more proud of how they captured the spirit of the shoot.
Final Thoughts: A Vision Realized
The Fashionista shoot in Lindale, Texas, was a true dream come true. It was a labor of love that took months of hard work, collaboration, and unwavering dedication. From the stunning wardrobe to the flawless makeup and the incredible models, every element came together in perfect harmony.
This shoot is a testament to the power of creativity and teamwork. It’s a reminder that fashion is not just about what we wear—it’s about how we tell stories, express ourselves, and connect with the world around us. And I’m so incredibly proud of the work we’ve done, and I can’t wait to share more of these moments with you all.
Thank you to everyone involved—your talent, dedication, and hard work made this shoot an unforgettable experience. I can’t wait for what’s next!
